I had 18 years experience within various aspects of mechanical engineering before turning to teaching the Royal Engineer Fitter Trade courses at 1RSME since 2008. I taught a wide range of topics related to petrol and diesel engines, vehicle electrics, pneumatics, heavy engines and power generation before being promoted to the Programme Area Leader role in June 2022. I spent seven years as a Sea Cadet and learned so much in that time and experienced many exciting and unique things that I became a uniformed instructor in 1992. I passed my officer selection in 2004. I headed up bands and music across the south of England for 10 years from 2012 to 2022. I supported National band events and was the lead on the logistics and support for major events. In May 2024 I was appointed as National Staff Officer Director of Music for the Sea Cadets and I am the strategic head of Music and bands across the country. I was promoted to Lt Cdr(SCC) RNR in August 2024.
