As the Director of Lodging, I was responsible for building a three year strategic plan that included building a national sales team, creating the market intelligence connected to a SWOT analysis, then executing on the strategy. I worked with both internal and external stakeholders to position the strategy and delivered a high level of success for both our sales team, and distribution channels over a three year period. I worked with distribution partners, the sales/service team, the sector team, and with customers to deliver the vision, message, and value proposition. I collaborated with global lodging leaders in a cross functional global team. I owned of the marketing process which included working with the media within the lodging market. I worked with ownership groups and national and global brands on program and procurement initiatives. I was the sector leader on the CLT “Canadian Leadership Team” who reported into the Canadian General Manager and Vice President. While I was in this role, the Lodging Team made great strides in growing market share year over year and execution of the strategic plan.

As the Director of Eastern Canada, I was responsible for the Distribution Channels and the Sales/Service Teams from Quebec to Atlantic Canada. I led the integration of two sales organizations (Johnson Wax / Diversey) into one high performing sales team. I built a cohesive organization based on the foundation of teamwork, understanding, commitment, culture and performance, that delivered excellent customer service, employee retention, and focus and commitment to deliver results. I was responsible for the annual operating sales plan and budget. I was responsible for the monthly targets and forecasting that aligned with the quarterly and annual objectives of the Canadian Business. I was responsible for the P&L for Eastern Canada. I supported a team of professionals who supported our regional and national customers in delivering on critical KPI’s. I worked with our National and Global HR teams to roll out a new annual employee evaluation program to the team in Eastern Canada. I worked with our distribution team and customers to build quarterly and annual programs in delivering on sales goals and target achievement awards and incentives. As a leader on the CLT, I participated in the annual talent review process. I also represented Eastern Canada on the CLT “Canadian Leadership Team” who reported into the Canadian General Manager and Vice President. While I was in this role, Eastern Canada delivered excellent financial results, high level of team engagement and execution on key drivers for the business.
