Started as finance manager for the Macquarie Airports Group, an unlisted 600m Euro investment fund that made investments in Birmingham Airport, Bristol Airport, Sydney Airport and Rome Airports. Also was responsible for the European finance for the ASX listed Macquarie Airports (MAp) fund.Final role was being responsible for finance for the MEIF II investment fund (4.6bn Euro). The fund invested in Thames Water, NCP car parks and other infrastructure assets.The nature of the work was being involved in numerous acquisitions as part of deal teams, fund accounting, running investor communication queries, GAAP conversions (particularly European GAAPs into IFRS), managing cash flows for acquisitions as well as debt and equity raising and supporting the listed reporting for various Macquarie vehicles.

In Investment management my main client was Barclays Global Investors where I was the audit lead (including the insurance company) and Legg Mason including regulatory work. In the banking sector I worked on the Lazard audit.
