Responsible for the Decontamination, Cleaning, Preparation and Sterilisation of instruments to The Operating Theatres and all other departments within the hospital to support patient care and ensure positive clinical outcomes.

During my time with GHD I worked within the building services group. My responsibilities includedwriting responses to tenders, fee proposals, design reports, specifications and schedules for a number of projects. I was responsible for the design of HVAC systems for both new builds and renovations, comprisingmainly of heat load calculations, duct sizing and layouts, chilled and heated water sizing and selection of HVAC equipment. Being included in both the design and construction phases of multiple projects provided me with the experience to engage with clients, suppliers and contractors on a regular basis. Engaging with the client is essential in ensuring the design team and client have shared expectations so that the project meets all required objectives.I communicated regularly and effectively with suppliers and contractors to ensure the design intentwas met by the final system. Engaging with contractors consisted of answering RFIs (Request for Information), reviewing shop drawings and approving selected equipment. I was also responsible for carrying out initial site surveys, defect inspections and managing documentation between GHD, clients and other consultant firms for a number of projects.
