Work closely with various Government Agencies and Offices to generate and maintain security documentation to include System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, Privileged/General User Guides, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for classified Information Systems. Accept responsibility for the certification and accreditation of classified Information System networks and ensures auditing requirements are completed following appropriate guidelines & requirements. Manage changes to the systems and assesses the security impact of those changes. Ensure all system security procedures are being followed include maintaining and reviewing software security patching and audit files per various customer requirements. Responsible for supporting adherence to all aspects of a rigorous Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance program as stipulated by NISPOM (32 CFR)/DAAPM, ICD 503, STIGs and associated NIST publications. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals for various systems by adhering to the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Manage two Information Systems Security Officers.

Notable success directing a broad range of corporate IA initiatives while participating in planning and execution of security solutions in direct support of the United States Navy, the United States Air Force, the National Security Agency, and the National Reconnaissance Organization. Installed, maintained and tested all types of central office facilities including, Switch applications, toll transport, fiber to the home network equipment, transport equipment, and all other central office associated equipment to include Calix, Metaswitch, Cisco, etc. Monitored the quality of toll, EAS, special circuits and other subscriber carrier facilities. Monitored and took action on alarm reporting. Worked with the Calix Cloud team to target and build our CSC EME experience for our Regional customers in Northern Minnesota. Worked with the Calix Cloud team to evolve CSC and refine the growth of advanced analytics solutions not only for Paul Bunyan Communications but for other TELCOs as well. Coordinated strategy and helped to create full suite of Cloud applications, and in particular CSC.

Provided network control center support to include help desk, incident desk, network management, small computer support, job control, telecommunications messaging center and information assurance. Provided administrative communications, records management and customer training to include network, applications and software, and information security training for 40 customer locations in 24 wide area networks. In addition, was responsible for managing launch support requirements processing and maintenance, overseeing phone switch and voice mail backups, and managing/coordinating authorized outages with customers.

Lead a 6 personnel team in digital network analysis and target development of an extremely high priority target in support of various military operations. Devoted over 5,300 hours of research, network forensics, and analysis to provided valuable intelligence to the United States Navy, NSA, CIA, and the FBI. Uncovered complex internetworking schemes and layouts that resulted in the production of 35 digital network intelligence reports, which changed national policy three times. Identified previously unknown network access points that enabled highly specialized and crucial collection for combat support for the Global War on Terrorism. Provided training to 30 personnel on five network analysis tools, which improved analysts’ content search capabilities and increased overall mission productivity by 30%. Advised on information security matters, aided in the determination of classification of data, and provided guidance ensuring all personnel were familiar with correct storage procedures of classified material in compliance with the NSA/CSS Classification Manual 1-52.

Responsible for receipt, processing, and distribution of SI Communications support to the USS Belleau Wood (LHA-3), The Eleventh Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Expeditionary Strike Group Three. Operated eight automated message handling systems to include data, video, and voice circuits. Provided training to seven personnel in all areas of shipboard communications which resulted in improved operator’s knowledge of fleet operations and created shift time flexibility. Accountable for the operation, performance, and disaster recovery the ships TS/SCI local area network, through maintenance of the primary and backup domain servers, disk array, router, and workstations.
