Entry position was as a cleaner. Duties included detailed cleaning of the entire store at the end of the day, doing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and making sure the cafe was clean and ready for the next day's openers.I later became a kitchen steward. Duties included stocking food items for the deli case, prepping food items, baking muffins and other pastries, preparing and serve made-to-order menu items.I was, also, the head cleaner for a time and the head kitchen steward which meant I was in charge of communicating various items and needs to my supervisors and training new employees for those two positions.
