While in this position, I managed all aspects of Energy project delivery for the projects that I was responsible for. This included attending design meetings with client and project teams, development of energy simulations, presentation of results, review of building assemblies with respect to rain, air, vapour, and thermal control layers, review of design and construction documents including drawings and specifications, conducting construction site reviews, and performing on-site testing. I managed multiple ongoing projects as well as tracking performance-to-budget and invoicing. In this role I also worked as a Mechanical designer and produced mechanical drawings and specifications in accordance with OBC and ASHRAE guidelines.

I worked within the Buildings group as an Energy Modelling Analyst, primarily as a Certified Passive House Consultant under the PHIUS+ 2018 and 2021 framework. While in this role, I worked with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams in design and construction phases on several mixed use multi-unit residential projects as the primary energy modeller, both to show compliance with PHIUS standards; as well as modelling relative to NECB 2015 and 2017 to qualify for captial funding opportunities relating to site energy and GHG emission savings.This included concept phase energy modelling and design meetings to assess PHIUS feasibility and funding opportunities, periodic energy model updates, thermal bridge modelling, presentations to clients and project teams, multi-discipline drawing reviews, specification reviews, shop drawing reviews, whole building and dwelling unit compartmentalization air tightness testing, and construction reviews. While in this role, I also helped Zon transition towards using IES Virtual Environment software in several service offerings, including calculating building heating and cooling loads using the ASHRAE heat balance method, HVAC system sizing and simulation, thermal comfort studies following ASHRAE 55, and energy modelling for projects with net zero site energy goals.
