Futsal Focus was established in 2012 across various social mediums platforms but in 2014 the official website was launched at www.futsalfocus.net. Raising awareness of Futsal all around the world through news, social media campaigns and events, Futsal Focus will continue to grow to contribute further to the sport's development globally.

Co-ordinated, produced and maintained the content of the Media Portal to ensure the delivery of different services, together with and under the supervision of the Media Service Manager.Ensured a smooth flow of information to the media during the tournament.Co-ordinated and integrated information issues within the overall Media Operations & Services Concept, i.e. co-ordinated information through different channels (MIS, Media Hotline etc.).Liaised and acted as a link between the Media Operations & Services unit to other entities within UEFA and UEFA Events SA to achieve the mentioned services, i.e. to UEFA Communications and EURO 2012 Operations.Liaised with key players for Media Information flow, i.e. UEFA Media Officers, Venue Media Teams, Media Accreditation, Team Press Officers etc.

Working with the Communications Manager to co-ordinate pre and post match media operations including manager and captain’s press conferences, flash interviews and mixed zone activity.Social Media and official website: analysis and develop ideas to grow the Association’s Facebook and Twitter numbers; for example through qualitative research. Regularly engage with fans through discussions and competitions; update the Social Media platforms with news on international, domestic and grassroots football.Writing and sub-editing press releases and articles for the Association’s website, ezines and Social Media platforms. Conducting video interviews, for example with players and coaches for exclusive context for the website and Social Media sites.Scanning all media clippings on a daily basis (received from our Media Monitoring Provider). Assisting the Head of Marketing and Communications with account managing the corporate sponsors and partners, to ensure all elements of their contracts are met. For example, help to organise access to players and coaching staff for PR purposes.Event organisation, sponsorship activation, sourcing sponsors, website analysis through Google Analytics, online ad campaigns through Google Adword and keyword database maintenance.

I finished the MBA Football Industries course at the Unviersity of Liverpool with a merit classification. Due to taking my MBA part-time I was able to work and get further experience in the football industry and in sports/ business development. Firstly, I worked for Everton FC's Everton Active Family Centre as a PR consultant and finished my studies working for Southport YMCA as a business development officer and futsal development officer.During my course I developed and organized the first Brian Barwick Cup. The Brian Barwick Cup was a friendly match/ networking event between the MBA Football Industries course and the FIFA Masters programme. The event had two purposes, firstly it was a tribute to Brian and secondly it was to help myself and my classmates increase their network in the football/ sports industry. I am proud that this event has continued to be a success as the new FIMBA students benefited from the same event which was organized this year in 2011.The success of the previous event led to a follow up networking event between the MBA Football Industries course and UEFA. At UEFA's Headquarters in Nyon, I organized a friendly 7 aside match between the FIMBA students and many senior executives at UEFA. This was advantageous for myself and my classmates as we were able to network with the senior executives after the game.

I worked for the Nagoya City Board of Education in their school system. Apart from teaching, I was a supervisor for the new teachers who joined the JET Programme. My duties were to prepare them for life in a new culture, help them to ajust and to give them an understanding of the work ethic that would be expected of them, while they lived in Japan. I held my position for four years though decided to return to the UK to further my education.In my spare time, I worked for the Irish Consulate as an International Exchange Coordinator. I was successful in this role because of my ability to build connections with the local business community and schools leading to their involvement in the St Patrick’s Day Parade, raising funds for cultural exchange events and increased PR for the Irish Consulate.Other experiences came from playing football at a high standard in Japan in the Aichi Prefecture First Division for FC Goal and Nagoya West. This experience led to coaching football and networking successfully in the football industry.
