Maintain and monitor implementation of Bank’s risk policies within an integrated Group framework.Membership of key risk committees: ALCO, Credit Committee and steering committees for the provision of market risk and credit risk management (MRM and CRM) services.Maintain an effective and robust firm-wide stress testing regime for all material risks on behalf of the Board.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate governance code and emerging best practice (Central Bank, Basel II & III CRD IV and EBA/CEBS guidelines).Lead delivery of collaborative cross-function Group projects.Maintenance and performance monitoring of SLA with Portigon AG, the Bank’s external provider of MRM and CRM services. Develop and execute asset liability programme as an ALCO committee member. Formulate, articulate and implement the Bank’s credit policy and its approval/review process as a Credit Committee member.Specify and document Bank’s ICAAP so as to clearly align with its business model, capital planning and strategic objectives.Management of departmental resources including staff.Present reviews and briefing updates for large and/or underperforming credit exposures up to executive level.Execute the Bank’s counterparty risk monitoring policy including limit setting, exception handling and the escalation of breaches. Devise, develop and maintain the Bank’s risk manual. Ensure that its content is aligned with the key principles and core elements of EAA’s risk management policy and processes and is tailored where necessary to local regulation/legislative requirements.

Execute cash-flow planning, liquidity profiling, hedging, collateral management, yield enhancement strategies, portfolio management, regulatory compliance and relationship management.Optimise funding activities through competitive and efficient pricing of cash products including deposits and FX forwards.Devise trading and hedging solutions to maximise the return on the Bank’s capital and manage Treasury’s market and liquidity gap risk. Apply strategies through the use of cash products (deposits, FX forwards and repos) and associated derivatives (short dated, overnight index and basis swaps, FRA’s and options).Execute the Bank’s treasury/ALM risk policy. Monitor and enforce its rules on credit limits, concentration ratios, interest rate sensitivity, pool eligibility, duration mismatches and liquidity coverage.Fund the Bank’s assets in accordance with its external and internal liquidity directives.Provide strategic direction as the Irish representative on daily global liquidity conference call at the height of liquidity crisis.Primary point of contact with the Bank’s Covered Asset Monitor (CAM), who was appointed to independently adjudicate on its compliance as a designated public credit institution under Asset Covered Securities Act (2001 and 2007). Responsible for the integrity of data supplied to the CAM and notification of planned transfers in/out of the portfolio.
