Stephen has a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and 15 years’ experience in the power industry focusing on the client side critique of pressure equipment manufacture and installation to ensure contract, code and legislative requirements are delivered. This has been achieved through practical hands-on assessment of suppliers both in-manufacture and during installation by a good working knowledge of EN and ASME boiler and piping codes such as EN 12952, EN 13480, ASME BPVC SEC I and B31.1 and their referenced standards. This has been supplemented by (currently held) CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector, PCN Radiographic Interpretation, CSWIP Plant Inspector Level 1, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and (Previously held) Institute of Corrosion Level 3 Painting Inspection qualifications. Stephen has supported Uniper and External customers in 15 countries including the Middle-East and India both in manufacture and during HRSG and Boiler Outages. Since 2016, Stephen has led the Supplier Quality Services (SQS) Team at Uniper Technologies responsible for management of a Team of (up to) 8 mechanically biased Engineers and 2 Associates. This Team has a long history within the UK Power Industry originally being formed to support the CEGB Nuclear build and the Team has held UKAS Accreditation since 1999 as a Type C Inspection body to ISO/IEC 17020 with a focus on pressure equipment. Stephen currently fulfils the role of Deputy Technical Manager of the Inspection Body and is responsible for pressure containment independent design reviews as part of his role.As part of the Uniper Engineering transformation, starting in 2023, Stephen assumed the role of Team Leader - Quality and Technical Compliance which includes the SQS function and specialists in PSSR's and Gas Systems. Stephen has presented at industry conferences in the UK including the IMechE HRSG User Group on the subject of Quality Assurance during major pressure part repairs in situ. Stephen has also presented at Enlit Asia on his experience in using "Virtual Engineer" services (HoloLens) to support an outage in the Middle East during pandemic travel restrictions.Stephen holds a NEBOSH National general certificate in health and safety
