Current

Chester, England, United Kingdom

Apr 2024 - Present

Futures Associate

Manchester, United Kingdom

Transitioning Margin processes from London to Manchester.

Nov 2016 - Sep 2017

Futures Associate

Rbs

Greater Chicago Area

I am currently transitioning two operational Client Service roles from Chicago to Manchester.

Aug 2016 - Oct 2016

Futures Sme

Manchester

I was assigned this role ahead of the transition from Chicago, primary responsibilities included;Managing the close down of positions for one of our Facilities Management clients who had decided to exit the Futures business. Notifying relevant clients and third party brokers of position moves and ensuring exchange regulations were followed in the processing of the transfers between brokers.Training the new Team Leader for the Trade Management team.Acting escalation point for the Trade Management team.

Jun 2016 - Aug 2016

Futures Associate

Manchester, United Kingdom

FUTURES ASSOCIATE, HOUSE MIDDLE OFFICE — OCTOBER 2015 - JUNE-2016Managing the House Middle office team, main processes were Front office to Back office reconciliations for Trades, Positions and Cash. Key accomplishments in this role;Identifying and executing a succession plan in a 9 month period. Developing the analyst in question to be capable of managing the team and successfully sponsoring them onto an Analyst to Associate development programme.Worked closely with the risk and control team to identify and raise three Risk Issues on processes which did not have adequate controls in place. I then worked on closing out all three of these issues with the team, Management and Risk and Control to close the open risk issues that had been raised.Led the decommission of 6 reconciliations. The biggest challenge was closing down two reconciliations the team had taken ownership of during the wind down of the RBS Equities business. I had to learn the recs, understand the flows and the inputs to the reconciliations. Once I had understood the purpose of the recs I began investigating if they had become redundant. I had to work closely with the remaining Equities finance teams to outline the flows, the inputs and why I felt the controls being performed in the reconciliations were no longer relevant. This project took 6 months to complete but received sign-off from Equity Finance and the Head of Futures Operations.Worked closely with the IT Development team to upgrade the input source making up the FOBO finance rec. The Front Office had migrated to a new risk system which valued their positions more closely to Exchange closing prices. The rec being performed by the team had not been updated and therefore had time consuming manual work arounds before breaks were even visible. Successful completion of this project along with the decommission of several recs meant I was able to reduce the FTE of the team by one.
