Hello! Thank you for viewing my LinkedIn profile. Allow me to tell you a little about myself. I am a motivated Chemistry major aspiring to a career in medicine. But I am much more than just another pre-med student.I have extensive experience with research and currently work at UT Southwestern as a full time undergraduate student researcher as part of the Green Fellows Program. I am investigating genetic and epigenetic controls in the development of Prostate Cancer in Dr. Ram Mani's lab. I am very excited to be working at a world-class institution with such brilliant researchers in one of the most promising fields of scientific discovery.I have developed many organizational and leadership skills through my involvement with student organizations at UT Dallas. I was chapter president of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at UT Dallas for a year and in this position I learned how to effectively delegate responsibilities, plan and execute events, and unite a large group of individuals in a common goal. I was lucky enough to attend Delta Tau Delta's Presidents and Advisors Retreat at the national headquarters. There I met with other brilliant student leaders from around the country and learned new and better ways to lead my chapter to excellence.As a Student Ambassador at UT Dallas, I represent the student body and assist the university at important public events such as Commencement, Distinguished Alumni Ceremony, and Lecture Series. This role has afforded me an opportunity to connect with many of the intelligent and driven people in the larger UT Dallas community.I successfully balance all these responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of academic excellence and being actively involved in my community. I have learned many things from my various experiences, but the theme that consistently motivates me the most is that a positive relationship with people is the best way to achieve common goals and better the community at large.
