I am a recent graduate of the M.S. in Computer Science program at Miami University. Though my undergraduate degree was in biology, I have always had a passion for technology and logical problem solving. These interests collided when I worked in the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Biobank and was able to combine my technical knowledge of laboratory processing with my self taught knowledge of computer software. I was given multiple opportunities to work independently to make the lab more efficient and improve data validation. This resulted in me working closely with the Biomedical Informatics team at the hospital and acting as a liaison between them and the Biobank lab.
