Since founding recovery runners, last year - we have met some incredible, inspiring people - people who are putting their well being and mental health, first. People who are recovering from life - be it, addiction, abuse, trauma, or just making a ‘comeback’ from challenges they have faced. Amongst the stories, the strength and the resilience of these people, we have also had the privilege of connecting with and observing the huge, positive impact that the many services, charitable causes and support groups can have for these people and our wider community. We now are looking to expand RR into new regions across the country and setting up as a CIC, but I need some help and support with this. I facilitate a SMART Recovery meeting in Liverpool to help and support people in their journey to abstinence.SMART (Self Management and Recovery Training) is a programme that provides training and tools for people who want to change their problematic behaviour, including addiction to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, food, shopping, Internet and others.Guided by trained facilitators, participants come to help themselves and help each other using a variety of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and motivational tools and techniques.The 4-Point Programmeis the foundation and building blocks of SMART. Many of the tools and techniques can be used not only for your recovery journey, but to help you deal with future problems and achieve more satisfaction and balance in your life.The four points are: –– Building and Maintaining Motivation– Coping with urges– Managing Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviours– Living a Balanced Life

My duties are to welcome customers into the dealership and set them at ease. I then have to establish their needs and recommend a suitable vehicle. I have a sales process which consists of setting the agenda, presentation of the vehicle, demonstration (test drive), valuation of part exchange, figures and close. I then have to follow the vehicle through the workshop checks and valet area to prevent the customer from being delayed. I am able to put a finance quote together for the customer to take if they do not purchase on the day. Other duties here were in telesales which consisted of ringing existing customers and potential customers to generate leads for new business, booking appointments and sell add-on’s. I was top salesman most months here for units, profit and add-on’s. I remain professional at all times especially when dealing with business owners spending up to £60,000 on our higher end products. ACHIEVEMENTS• Top sales executive most months out of 3 dealerships in our group• Sold most cars in one month than anyone in 2007 (36 cars)• I became FSA qualified and passed all tests
