• Project Manager for an automated tube trailer project which was part funded by Innovate UK. Day to day liaising with the rest of the team to ensure the project was progressing as it should. Liaised and presented quarterly presentations to Innovate which included financial reporting of the budget, project risk analysis, project timing plans and project progress. There were a number of project challenges which included major hydrogen components being delayed by COVID. Ultimately this reflected on the budget and the timing plan. In the end the project was severely delayed because of the long component delays. However, I managed to collect all the Innovate funds due to CMB which totalled £650k. The project has since been completed and bunkered a vessel.• For the various hydrogen projects it has been necessary to establish which standards we need to comply to such as EC79, R134, R49, BCGA, TPED etc.• For the genset project it was necessary to understand the process of CE marking and arrange for external training to be given. Also Understanding how DOI’s (Declaration of Incorporation) are set-up.• Instrumental in setting up a Dyno Facility Appraisal with the VCA. Which meant closing out actions from the deficiency report successfully.• As hydrogen is not a certified fuel I instigated discussions with various agencies such as the VCA and the STA to better understand the process involved in getting a mono fuel and dual fuel engines certified. The process is still ongoing with the STA with regular update meetings.• Gathering EC79/R134 certificates for the various projects that use certified components such as pressurised Hydrogen Type-3 & Type-4 cylinders. • Assisted with a number of FMEA, HAZID & HAZOP studies on a couple of projects to realise the risks involved with compressed hydrogen.• Working with engine manufacturers such as Volvo Penta, MAN and Ford for both marine and industrial applications.
