About Stephen Michael

After having a successful career as a chef for almost a decade I am excited to embark on a new career in nutrition and health. I am studying a BSc in Human Nutrition at Roehampton University, one of the United Kingdom’s top tertiary institutions for this branch of study, whilst still head chef of Badger Badger Pub. I have a great passion for nutrition and would love to take this passion and knowledge further than the kitchen. Working as a chef for the last 8 years has taught me some invaluable skills: staying calm under pressure; being able to deliver on tight deadlines; how to motivate a team; delegation and responsibility.

    I helped launch this brand new pub with the help of the owners. The food concept was kushiyaki (a style of Japanese barbeque) which I had to learn. I created the menu and cultivated new relationships with suppliers. I furnished the kitchen will all new equipment, hired staff and trained front and back of house staff. Since its inception, 95% of the pubs Google reviews have been 5 stars and we achieved a 5 Food Hygiene rating
