My welding and fabrication experience allowed me to improve the way that the Co-ordinate Measuring Machines were utilised. This enabled them to be used in the manufacturing of Jigs and fixtures to very high standards and tight tolerances.Responsible for maintaining quality of parts, producing reports for customers and for communication with customers including; Ford Motor Co, Jaguar Cars, LandRover, DAF Trucks, Cummings, Vickers Powerfield and many others.

I was involved in the establishment of the Quality Department from initial concept, which included the development of a Quality Management System in preparation for certification to ISO 9001, and later ISOTS 16949. This covered; generating and implementing documented procedures, installing a Calibration system, and developing processes for the efficient control and maintenance of documents and records to ensure the consistent quality of goods. I was also involved in the development of a process for monitoring the performance of suppliers.
