Associate Architect
January 2017 - to date BDP Architects Clerkenwell, London www.bdp.com Associate ArchitectProject Experience:• Currently project architect for a £175m+ very complex Parliamentary project as part of the Northern Estate Programme (NEP). The building is a Grade II* listed building designed by Richard Norman Shaw.• Managed a team of 9 developing through the Stages to completion of Stage 3 and a Planning Application - all after extensive consultation with Historic England, Westminster City Council and a large number of other Statutory and Client Stakeholders. The construction contract is a traditional contract, and the project is administered under the New Engineering Contract (NEC).• I initially developed the early stages of the NEP masterplan coordinated with 15+ masterplan options (inclusive of feasibility studies undertaken for all buildings on the site) based around a developing accommodation brief. This helped the Client to chosea preferred option taking into account the primary drivers of the project - security, heritage and maximizing accommodation.• The project is currently progressing into Stage 4.• For further information on the programme refer to:https://northernestate.uk/.• Due to the high security nature of the project, I am only able to discuss what is already in the public domain.
Senior Architect

Attended all Client presentations, ran DTM’s and workshops.• Project architect for a £40 million commercial office building located on the north bank of the Thames as a backdrop to St. Paul’s. St. Paul’s Heights restrictions were significant on the design of the building. I ran the project through a complex planning process without the need for a Planning Consultant. Worked with City of London chief planner Peter Rees to achieve planning permission in a very sensitive location.• Somerset Place Lane Houses, Bath. Design development for nine new build houses within the gardens of listed Somerset Place Crescent.• Sea Container’s House, London. Acted as design consultant on the complex office interiors within the refurbishment of the large office building on the river Thames.• City Tower, London, Project architect for £25 million commercial office project from Stage C to Stage E+ tender documentation.
