• Three months as full time shift team leader• Assistant Team Leader, filling in for team leader when coverage is required on turnarounds and day to day running of the units• Safety Operations committee member; attend weekly meetings and bring key safety information back to the attention of my team members• Two year as a Fluid Coker panel gaining exposer to DCS, Honeywell, experion and GUS systems• Sour Water Concentrator Panel operator• Dilute Recovery Unit Panel trainee• Tank Farm Panel trainee • Team Pump “champion”; executing troubleshooting tours with reliability and millwrights• SAP super user• Safe Work Plan, writing and executing• Procedure writing• Some First Response experience• Experience using the Intelatrac system• Issue permits daily to ensure that work is done safely and efficiently• Perform monthly checks on plant safety equipment such as: PSV’s, fire extinguishers, safety boxes and plant evacuation systems• Monitor process equipment including: pumps, turbines, compressors, heat exchangers and pressure vessels by checking temperatures, speeds, pressures etc.• Operate equipment safely and reliably: exchanger backwashes and flushes, exchanger/pump/turbine swings, use of procedures for commissioning/decommissioning equipment and systems etc.• Participate in the development of risk assessments, safe work plans, and certified isolations• Perform minor maintenance duties: change out valves, steam traps, gaskets, and clean sight glasses etc.• Sample hazardous products (sour naphtha and high temperature slurries) following all safety protocols• Assumed a variety of responsibilities during unit turnarounds: Turnaround team leaders, process contact for piping projects, performed compressor run-ins, permit issuer, inspected vessels for closures and performed initial openings, conducted area and equipment gas testing• Mentor and train employees in a team environment• Demonstrate integrity and accountability
