Ash Stevens is a $20MM/Yr. company celebrating over fifty years in business providing a complete range of contract chemistry research, development and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical industry acquired by Piramal Pharma Solutions in 2016. During my time there, we generated over $55MM of shareholder value without the use of dilutive equity investment: funds used for both infrastructure and dividends. Work there included leading merger team at Ash Stevens for its acquisition by Piramal Pharma Solutions. A transformation agenda at Ash Stevens was managed and implemented which included a strategic plan to reorganize business from largely Government contract research to one focused on commercial pharmaceutical chemical development and manufacturing. Negotiated long-term pharmaceutical alliances generating sales of over $100MM. Initiated major plant construction projects leading to over six-fold increase in capacity. Shepherded twelve Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing programs through FDA and International approval including Velcade® (Millennium / Takeda Pharmaceuticals; Munk, S.A. et al. U.S. Patent No. 8,283,467), Clolar® (Ilex / Genzyme: Munk, S.A. et al., U.S. Patent No. 6,884,880), Vidaza® (Celgene), Iclusig® (ARIAD) and Ninlaro® (Takeda).

Co-Team Leader, alpha-2 adrenergic discovery team. Participated in development and launch of Alphagan (Brimonidine), a glaucoma drug. Developed proposals consistent with corporate strategic research goals for new program areas. Introduced novel alpha-2 pharmacology assay protocols. Prepared novel alpha-2 adrenergic agonists and new reagents for their synthesis. Developed SAR of novel; alpha-2 adrenergic agents including allergic response mechanisms relevant to drug design. Developed CNS-limited alpha-2 adrenergic agonists. Research published in J. Med. Chem.
