After a owning and operating a successful automotive related repair business for many years I decided a complete career change was in order. This required a period of study at Southern Institute of Technology where I completed a Bachelor of Environmental Management. A third year research project, in association with New Zealand Aluminium Smelters, investigating PM10 levels on the Tiwai peninsula saw me head down the air quality pathway. A stint in Auckland working for Watercare Laboratory Services helped me gain valuable experience in this field as a stack and odour technician. A family decision to move to Australia led to my current consulting position with The Odour Unit, based in Brisbane.
