In a 48 hour timeframe I’ve gone from a ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to skating practice in Boston 1500 miles away. This is the life I live, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I live by pushing myself, to learn and to improve the person that I was yesterday so I may shape a better tomorrow. My interests lie within the exploration of our world and the solar system. Specifically in the deep oceans of our planet. I have worked with scientists and engineers who have written textbooks about ocean discoveries. The people I work with drive me to learn more about the world around us.Balance is one of the key aspects of any figure skater's life. For the past twenty years, I have walked the line between my academic and athletic life. This sport has taught me how to prioritize my time and work efficiently, but the most valuable lesson I have learned from skating is teamwork. In my day-to-day life, every problem I encounter is a new opportunity to learn. This knowledge I gain today will be what I pass on to future generations.
