The Health Lottery Limited, part of the Northern & Shell limited media group, which owns and operates several media businesses including TV channels (Channel 5), Newspapers (Daily Express and Daily Star), Magazines (OK and TV pick). THL is the gaming arm of the Media group, who operate all the various gaming initiatives for the group including Online Instant Scratch cards, Bingo and various Casino games as well as the core retail and online Health lottery products. These services are delivered via THL’s own gaming platforms or via several white label or content providers delivered under various group brands.THL is a UK ELM operating 51 local society lotteries on a national basis. THL’s custom Lottery system provides multiple channels for players to transact including Online, Mobile, Direct Debit and from more than 36,000 local and national stores via a 50,000 terminals network and direct Epos integrations. I was initially employed as a Program Manager for THL where I managed a Program of business-critical projects with budgets of between £20K and £5m and circa £10m for the entire Project portfolio. I was promoted to Head of IT where I was responsible for all IT management THL reporting directly to the Group MD.The Lottery business is fast moving and required aggressive implementation timelines. I managed several work streams including large Projects/Epics, small change/Backlog and defect management. These streams were managed via a combination of tailored Prince 2 and Agile methodologies (Scrum), working towards DSDM.THL operate an outsourcing model and I manage onshore and off shore teams including Development, QA and key suppliers to ensure product delivery is achieved on time, to budget and to the expected quality.I worked closely with major retailers and third parties building effective partnerships to ensure successful project deliveries.
