Responsible for architectural decisions, project planning and execution, deployment, and system administration for Montoux’s cloud platform, which included:• a DSL for actuarial user interfaces, including a parser, compiler, and execution sandbox;• a browser application that renders Montoux’s DSL, dynamically reflows based on user inputs, and presents computation results;• a UI toolkit for Clojurescript that uses React, FRP, and MVP to facilitate rapid development;• a scaleable and secure web-server architecture based on Clojure and JVM technologies;• a payment processing and billing system for online signups;• a copy-on-write document store backed by SQL;• automatic build infrastructure including a large test suite and continuous deployment;• cloud automation infrastructure based on Terraform and Ansible.Wider responsibilities included growing Montoux’s technical team. I participated in hiring activities including candidate screening, interviews, mentoring, and securing grants. I also helped raise Montoux’s profile with potential hires through industry meetup presentations, university guest lectures, and participating in academic research groups.
