As a premed undergraduate student at USC, I am dedicated to pursuing a career in the healthcare field through a combination of research and hands-on experience. Having always been fascinated by the inner workings of the human body, I finally have had the opportunity to dive deep into the field of neuroscience through my research experiences at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute, as I am currently investigating a potential drug target for Alzheimer's disease in the neurovascular system. In addition, my fascination with the cognitive science side of the brain has also led me to explore the relationship between fatigue and cognition in human predecessors at the Evolutionary Biology of Physical Activity Lab at USC.Outside of the lab, I have also been committed to making a positive impact in the healthcare field through my community service. Through the Mobile Clinic of USC, I work with residents of the underserved communities in Skid Row and gain hands-on experience in providing medical care to vulnerable populations. In addition, as a volunteer at the Keck Hospital of USC, I have seen firsthand how small changes can make a big difference in patient satisfaction. In essence, I am deeply committed to improving healthcare by addressing the issue of mistrust between patients and healthcare professionals. I am dedicated to not only addressing this concern but also exceeding expectations and striving for excellence in my healthcare endeavors.
