Stephen Nolen Email and Phone Number

Lieutenant Nolen has served in a law enforcement capacity since 1995. Lieutenant Nolen began his law enforcement career as a U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms. During his tenure from 1995 to 1999, he served as a K-9 Handler/Trainer, Narcotics Investigator, and traffic court liaison. Lieutenant Nolen transitioned to the Navy reserves where he served an additional 21 years and earned the rank of Master Chief (E-9). Lieutenant Nolen joined the Cobb County Police Department in 1999. He has served as a patrol officer, detective with Criminal Investigation Unit and the Special Victims Unit. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant where he was again assigned toy uniform patrol and the Victims Unit. In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and currently serves as the Unit Commander for the Violent Incident Prevention and Early Response (VIPER) Unit.
