Mr. Stephen Okiror is an experienced Leader with a Social science background. He holds a degree in Social sciences, Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation and Masters in Public Health. He has over 21 years experience working in WASH, Health, Education, Humanitarian assistance, and development consulting projects for International and local NGO settings. His core strength is ability to blend program management (assessments, planning, monitoring,) and technical support to implementing teams ( skills training , supervision and guidance on standards ) Stephen is technical in development and management of WASH projects with specific expertise in project cycle management, Hygiene and Sanitation promotion, skills training and Monitoring and Evaluation.Stephen was Hygiene and Sanitation specialist for Concern Worldwide Emergency program for Teso program for 2 years, He was a coordinator for WaterAid lead partner in Teso (WEDA), coordinator PAG –Uganda, Country Director for Link to Progress and Country Director for LivingWaterInternational Zambia. He is currently working for Living Water International as Deputy Regional Vice president for Africa Stephen has worked as a team leader / consultant for WE Consult on various high profile Consulting assignments including: Facilitating in International Rainwater Conference for African Development Bank in Uganda, Conducting evaluations for International Rescue Committee (IRC) WASH program, CBM Australia, WASH program, JICA water supply study and Uganda Red cross EU-Water facility in western Uganda. Others are Ireland Support WASH project evaluation for GOAL in Abim, GOAL ECHO WASH projects evaluation in Kalongo and KALIP/EU water for production validation exercise in all Districts of Karamoja.He has a good understanding of sphere standards for emergency work and SDG Targets as wells as Emergency security protocols. Has had leadership experience in East and Southern Africa.
