Haven started my first company with £200 and grown it from a one man operation to a 20+ man operation making 6 figure profits yearly I decided I wanted a change. So I was "completing one last job"​, cashing in with almost a 7 figure sum and doing something completely different. That was in early 2008. And as the saying goes, "life is what happens when we`ve made other plans"​. Then came the September 2008 correction or whatever you wish to call it. My company, the almost 7 figure sum I was due to get and most of the country imploded. There I was back to where I was when I started but this time saddled with property / business debt. Never one to lie about crying over spilled milk I tipped along alone making a decent living. On wards another few years and while holidaying abroad I had a fall that left me out of action and on crutches for a month. Whatever bit of a business I had left was as good as wiped out as I was the business at that time, and if I was not on the job I was not earning. Never one to sit around feeling sorry for myself I researched online "how to make a living without having to be there"​. The stock market was top of the list for me. Then Padraic O Maille the Smacht Guy my mentor called to say he was organising a talk about Money in my golf club. "There will be bankers, accountants, insurance people there and a fellow who teaches people to trade the stock market"​. Padraic I said, "I can not even walk"​, well he said "if you can`t walk you better crawl as you have to meet this fellow". The following week I was on my first course in trading the stock market. I took to it immediately. I loved it . From then onwards I was instrumental in setting up 4 investment clubs in Galway. Courses in the UK, New York and Chicago have followed and I am also trading Forex since 2014. I got the QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser) designation from UCD in Dublin in early 2015. I am currently raising finance for start up business` and property investment.
