Starting on the workshop floor my potential for management was quickly recognised within three years I had been placed on site to the position of steel erecting team leader, this enabled me to gain various CSR qualifications, the opportunity to become accessni approved and a great knowledge of structural steel. after two years I was further promoted to the drawing office where I was able to use my workshop and onsite experience with my high level of computer literacy to produce production friendly fabrication drawings. I found having had firsthand experience of the difficulties faced on site and on the workshop floor made me a more efficient detailer and project manager. Having successfully proven my management skills I undertook new challenges heading up the anti-vandal cabin and container division for Protech. The transition in dealing with new clients was a test of my interpersonal skills which where proven as a result of the numerous repeat business the division experienced under my helm. Furthermore capitalising on my workshop experience I was able to develop new pricing and production techniques resulting in savings on production cost resulting in increased profitability in a very tough market.
