Metroplex Health System is a 233-Licensed bed, multi campus facility operated by Adventist Health System, which manages 37 hospitals and employs over 43,000 and is the 10th largest hospital system in the country. Metroplex serves as the largest community health care provider to the military in the nation. The system employs approximately 1,200 area residents and cares for more than 125,000 patients each year. Metroplex supports an exceptional staff of more than 260 physicians, representing 43 medical specialties. As CNO I lead a clinical work force of 600+ front line personnel, seven clinical directors, and nine additional direct reports. Responsible for the operations and budgeting of an 18-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit, leading a clinical workforce of 100 personnel, 4 Assistant Nurse managers and working with 11 Neuro Surgeons.

In 4 months, recruited and trained staff to open full capacity from 26 to 39 PCU beds. Responsible for staffing, operations, and budgeting, with a workforce of 105 staff, and 4 Assistant Nurse managers. Manager lead in development of a corporate program for safe patient handling program.

Responsible for scheduling, daily operations of this 39-bed unit, and staff development.
