It was God that guided my family and I towards Europe in 2007. I settled on Heriot-Watt University in Scotland's inspiring capital - Edinburgh. I arrived at a time of great change in higher education funding in the United Kingdom. Change has become constant in life. Heriot-Watt University is fast becoming the top university in Scotland and perhaps in the UK. Thanks to the leadership of Professor Steve Chapman, 'the People in Black', and of course the LORD ALMIGHTY.

Teaching, Research and Outreach in construction project management, construction contracts, procurement systems, risk management, systems dynamics modeling and simulation.

I arrived at AIT in April 1990 fresh from Loughborough University. It was an exciting time! I had the priviledge of working with Prof. David Arditi for just one year before being left to 'hold the fort' alone for another three years till we found Dr. Chotchai Chareonngam. Prof. Keizo Baba joined us in 1995 and he was replaced by Dr. Takayuki Minato in 1997 and Dr. Tsunemi Watanabe in 2001. Dr. Mohan Manavazhi joined the team in 1997 too but left in 2001. It seemed that things would fall apart in 2001 when the Japanese Government stopped secondments, but with 'God's favour' and other divine interventions we added Dr. Bonaventura Hadikusumo to the list. Dr. Pannapa Herabat joined in 2003 but left in 2006. In 2007, it was time for me to move on too. Nothing good comes easy or lasts for ever. I arrived in AIT to meet 3 students but left about 80 students behind. Not bad - all things considered! I learned more than I taught in AIT. Indeed, it is 'the melting pot of all nations' and I recommend the experience to anyone.
