Recently I have been working on Island View High School, the Dieppe Fire Station, and several G.O.C.B. projects, including locations in both St. Leonard and Bible Hill. I have recently completed another fire station project in New Brunswick, the Metro Transit Bridge Terminal in Dartmouth, and the interior renovations at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal.

Partner of the firm starting in 2004, Stephen held the title of Vice President for Sperry & Partners. Acting as the firms design architect, he was responsible for many of the firm's more recent major projects. An architect with over 20 years experience, he was involved in the design of the recently completed Fire Station 45 & Gordon R. Snow Community Centre, in Fall River, a project awarded LEED silver certification. He was project architect on the firm’s design of the Portland Hills Metro Transit Terminal in Dartmouth and, more recently, the Northside Fire Station and Training Compound, in Fredericton, NB.; and worked on designs for the new Metro Transit Terminal at the Dartmouth Bridge. Stephen began his training with a major in Urban Planning at Saint Mary’s University, before going on to study architecture at Dalhousie, where he graduated in 1990, with a Masters of Architecture Degree. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the Canadian Green Building Council, with a specialty in Building Design + Construction, and is currently on the Board of Examiners with the Nova Scotia Association of Architects, as well as being a past Senior Councilor. Stephen is a native Haligonian, loves the ocean and photography, and has enjoyed being back practicing in Halifax, after returning from experience gained in Toronto.

Staff Architect on many higher-end interior fit-up contracts, including medium and large corporations, private golf clubs and start-up IT companies.

Worked as Project Architect on several higher education/institutional projects, as well as many industrial projects and a few fire stations. The balance of the work that I was associated with is protected by confidentiality agreements, with both the federal government, as-well-as private clients.
