A background in research and data science and an innovator at all times, I have led teams responsible for the analysis function at both commercial and public organisations in the qualifications sector.I have broad experience in data analysis and transformation of the analysis function. I am skilled in data visualisation and love to tell engaging stories, drive innovation and unlock capacity with data.I have analysed a range of data, including citizen science, geographical, survey and big data (genomics). I am a proficient programmer (R and Python) who routinely uses functional programming and custom pipelines to solve business challenges. I use R shiny apps to enable others to extract information and evidence from data as well as to automate routine tasks and increase productivity.I have disseminated findings through scientific journal publications, articles, official statistics and reports, talks at international conferences, public seminars, educational resources, the media and an animated movie. I am experienced in study design, funding applications, and project management.I believe in the power of data to drive efficiencies and innovation and work hard to try to embed data and analytics across teams.
