As an engineer, I want to know three "hows" about a product: how to make it, how does it work, and how to make it better. As there are many different products, I use problem solving skills for a spectrum of technology and engineering problems.My research experience has always put me into solving a problem that is brand new to me; I learned that I knew very little about lithium-ion batteries and robotics before research. To find the answer, I've searched, investigated, experimented, and tested to find the design that meets and exceeds expectations.I've studied and researched in mechanical, aerospace, and nuclear engineering. The different disciplines give me a different outlook on the others. However, each experience has repeatedly taught me that my professionalism consists of these succeeding qualities:--If I don't know how to solve a problem, I'll exhaust all methods available to come to a solution--I'm not afraid to ask questions and admit that I don't know something, but I will find out the answer--Working in a team, I can do much better than if I was alone--I find the simple, practical solutions and complicated ones but ultimate comparison gives the best design--Time is a resource and I prioritize my work for productivity--I realize designs have flaws and I always think of improvements even on my own designsMy technical specialties include: solid modeling software, computer aided design, aircraft design, vehicle design, aerodynamics, fluids, thermodynamics, dynamic systems, robotics, materials science, lithium-ion batteries, nuclear reactor design, and also engineering mechanics, dynamics, and statics.I always like to make new professional acquaintances, so contact me if you want to talk about technology, engineering, and racing.
