Stephen graduated from Manhattan College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering and again in 2011 with a Master of Engineering in environmental engineering. During his time there as an undergrad he held a research position for the EPA monitoring the quality of local water bodies. As a graduate student he performed experiments to determine the fate and effects of nickel in anoxic sediments with direct application to Hudson River dredging projects, and a study to determine the influence of Cr(VI) on the New York City drinking water system, in addition to his duties as lab assistant for graduate, and instructor for undergraduate lab courses. After college, he worked for Langan Engineering and Environmental Services in Parsippany, NJ. As a part of Langan, he served several high profile utility and technology clients in the New York-New Jersey metro area, performing site investigations for legacy industrial sites, and designing remedial action plans to comply with federal and state cleanup regulations. From 2016 to 2018 Stephen was an independent contractor who served as Remediation Program Manager for PSEG Power, LLC. This position required daily oversight and management of construction and environmental remediation programs at facilities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Connecticut to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Currently, Stephen is a Project Manager at TRC Environmental, where he manages staff on several environmental projects including spill response, construction oversight, due diligence, site investigation, and remediation.
