Direct liaison with internal/external auditors around IT infrastructure and information security.GDPR Lead for the College Group and was assigned Data Protection Officer responsibilities prior to recruitment of a full time DPO role.Efficient and effective management of the ILT budget and responsibility for all ILT related procurement and 3rd party supplier relationships.Responsibility for the operational planning and delivery of ILT strategy encompassing all aspects of technology, communication requirements and systems development required for the sustainability and growth of the organization.To work closely with members of teaching and business support departments and anticipate, understand and meet their technology enhanced learning needs for the benefit of teaching and learning.Project Planning and implementation lead to improve College ILT infrastructure, system upgrades and business continuity. Leading a highly skilled team specialising in turning college data into information that senior management can utilise to make informed business decisions.Other responsibilities include maintaining and updating the college data warehouse, developing college wide reports and streamlining business processes through the use of technology.

Maintain existing college databases and reporting systems.To develop a scalable, functional reporting infrastructure to meet college needs for the next 3-5 years. To improve the efficiency and quality of the report development cycle. Implement a robust system of documentation and version control for all applications and reports. Redevelop all key legacy applications (MS Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, Oracle Forms) using Microsoft Development tools.

Worked at the world's largest insurance broker to develop Excel based tools using VBA to improve efficiencies within UK Finance. Provide technical support for colleagues within UK Finance. Ad hoc data analysis and reporting. Suggest improvements and best practices within UK Finance to improve cost effectiveness, efficiency and added value of services provided.

To develop bespoke applications in response to needs identified by Colchester Institute using .NET and MS Access and Excel. To develop specialist web based reports using SQL to extract the required data from Oracle and SQL Server databases. To train the college trainers in all aspects of each bespoke application or report. To provide documentation on how each bespoke application or report operates.

Reporting to the College Information Systems Manager and working in a team of four, my role was to assist in the rollout of electronic registers throughout the College, providing technical support via telephone and email and providing reporting solutions in response to identified needs.
