Steve’s book of business is mainly comprised of Private Equity investment firms, for-profit corporations, and higher eductation/healthcare industry businesses. He focuses on ensuring that programs of such companies are run strategically versus transactionally. Steve has a broad knowledge of insurance programming, business economics, and the healthcare community, which brings a unique perspective to the industry. He has worked to earn his GBA – Group Benefits Associate certification – and is currently working on his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation. Prior to life in insurance, Steve worked for 7 years as a certified Paramedic with EMT-P national designation – He still maintains his license and practices on a voluntary basis. Steve also received a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in English from the University of Iowa, while also earning an Entrepreneurial Certificate from the Tippie College of Business.
