Head of Cyber Services Next Gen Cyber Security - Secrutiny Ltd.Retained on a fixed contract to develop the key support elements and delivery of ‘managed services’ and act as a presales technical consultant for a technically leading cyber security company focusing on breach detection and Incident Response (IR) across all cyber attack vectors. My major achievements in this role were:• Customer facing pre sales technical and capability presentations to senior staff.• Development of the customer managed service output for multitude of cyber security software products. This included oversight of a service desk investigating malware finds, subsequent forensic analysis, IR and investigation policy development.• Development of analysis and breach management processes to support breach detection and incident response.• Management of the installation and commissioning of both hardware and virtual toolsets at customer sites.

PJHQ is the sole Operational Command HQ. It is responsible for planning and executing joint and combined military operations around the world. My role had responsibilities for command and control systems, communications, dissemination of intelligence and the Cyber security of deployed networks across the Middle East, Asia and Africa working with our international partners in NATO. Additionally I was the capability sponsor for 2 principle secure IT systems.My major achievements in this role were:• Single point of contact and relationship lead, acting as the Senior User for 15 IT and network systems with the numerous equipment manufacturers and project teams, directing progressive development with customer centric requirements to meet strategic objectives. • Responsible for the Cyber Security and implementation of solutions for several bespoke military intelligence systems.• Delivery of a continuous obsolescence management and improvement programme for secure video conferencing and also as open source intelligence capability with limited resource (£550k/yr). • Development and service transition of an innovative capability (£1 million) providing a pioneering and low cost secure network solution for Information Systems to remote geographic sites globally.• Defined, wrote and implemented business cases from £25k-£4.5M.

Management of; 30 communications and IT skilled personnel, delivering complex secure IT and communications, covert real-time tracking and monitoring equipments. 15 logistics staff responsible for the delivery of personnel, secure IT systems and weapons to 25 worldwide locations. My major achievements in this role were:• Continuous technical evaluation of a multi million pound continuous equipment capability development program ensuring consistency with technological, cyber security advances and military policy and doctrine for Specialist UK Armed Forces Unit.• Successful management into service of a new £4.5 million enhanced and technological advanced Covert Passive communications system for Specialist UK Armed Forces Unit.• Generation and maintenance of information assurance and security practices and internal audits inline with service design. Adoption and oversight of new policies standards and practices including scoping, resourcing, auditing and executing of IA audits to locations worldwide.• Planned and delivered IT, communications engineering and logistics support to major foreign military training exercises for 90+ personnel.

Strategic management of the Royal Navy’s ‘Special Fit’ weapons and sensors, IT and communications systems, ensuring coherency with the Strategic Planning policy and doctrine. My major achievements in this role were:• An essential costing and operational analysis project to fit all Royal Navy surface fleet permanently with ‘Special Fit’ equipments and thus remove the costly, complex and high-risk management process. Used as part of a Ministerial Submission for funding ROM cost £85M. • Overhaul of commercial support contracts, including equipment enhancement proposals for 45 diverse, highly complex and highly classified equipments to maintain effective and timely capability delivery and optimise limited funding.Supervisory and stakeholder directing authority for equipment integration and development issues

Management and leadership development training, further honing of oral and written communications skills to that expected from senior staff.

Management of technical response to initiate the timely repair of all Warship engineering systems (>100 diverse equipments) approximately 150 defects weekly to certify platform availability fit for UK Government tasking worldwide. My major achievements in this role were:• Utilising a pragmatic risk management delivered approx. £2.1M savings per annum in the successful development and subsequent implementation of an innovative and agile change program for the Royal Navy’s Surface Ships engineering trials.• Initiation of an in-depth technical and analysis investigation across all Royal Navy platforms, equipments and systems defects to provide more accurate breakdown of platform availability that would lead to invoking performance penalties for breach of SLA terms by 3rd party support.

Led and managed 30 skilled engineering techs to maintain and repair command and control, communications and engineering systems on a Royal Navy Type 23 Frigate on combat operations in high stress conditions. More detail on request.
