About Stephen Perusich
Dr. Perusich has been involved in inventing, developing, and implementing science and technology in industry, academia, and government for many years, and his research philosophy and interests derive from experience he gained while performing fundamental research in graduate school at the University of Illinois, applied research and development at E. I. DuPont de Nemours, basic research as a professor at Auburn University, and applied research with ASRC Aerospace and Cella Energy companies at the Kennedy Space Center. His broad-based, multidisciplinary approach to research has allowed him to use chemical engineering fundamentals to achieve advances in many science and engineering fields. Dr. Perusich’s experience includes conducting and managing R&D programs in the chemical, electrochemical, materials, and biomedical science areas. Dr. Perusich is interested in continuing to pursue work in these areas as well as expanding into new research areas as he has done throughout his career where he can solve problems and where new opportunities exist. In addition, Dr. Perusich has authored over 50 research papers, patents, and presentations; led numerous industrial/governmental research programs and managed an academic research group; taught university-level undergraduate and graduate chemical engineering courses; and co-founded a small business based on the author’s patented sensor technology. All of the research projects include strong experimental programs coupled with fundamental mathematical modeling and computer simulations. By mathematically modeling the systems and performing parametric studies, critical variables, limiting cases, and fundamental mechanisms can be uncovered. Once the bridge between experiment and theory is achieved, many practical applications are possible based on sound scientific and engineering principles.
Listed skills include Materials Science, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Spectroscopy, and 36 others.
