I have owned the People, Communications and Engagement plan within Shared Services Operations (SSO), spanning across 5 hubs in 4 different countries worldwide. This involves working with the Head of SSO as well as his Leadership Team, managing numerous different stakeholders. I also plan, produce and release communications from the central SSO mailbox, liaising with Shared Services to ensure we release consistent messages across our area. This provides value for the 1200 colleagues within SSO as it increases collaboration and engagement between colleagues throughout the world and keeps them informed of vital messages as well as activities taking place.

My second placement as part of the Analysis & Business Solutions Graduate Scheme is within the Strategic Partnerships team in Payments. Strategic Partnerships sits within Payments Innovation and Business Development, creating a culture of collaboration and opportunity. We play a key relationship management role, connecting payments to our franchises and to our external partners. Our team supports the development of new and innovative payment propositions from ideation to launch across multiple franchises and channels.

In September 2017 I began a 2 year Graduate Scheme with RBS. My first 8 month placement was in the Asset Management team within Location and Property Strategy.I developed a lot of skills throughout my time in this placement. I carried out duties involving the creation of documents to accompany both lease renewal & acquisition sanctions, I connected with internal and external stakeholders as well as leading a project regarding new Energy Efficiency standards within commercial buildings. My knowledge of corporate real estate was built, and I worked closely with my team to both learn about what they do & how they carry out their tasks, and to learn more about the bank within my first period as a part of the graduate scheme.While this role was on going, I also joined the Training and Development Graduate Council, where I have helped to create a document detailing all of the qualifications graduates can gain to help their development while on the graduate scheme.

I was a customer assistant at Tesco for almost a year.I developed team work skills in this placement, carrying out a variety of tasks and gaining skills that I hadn't ever had the chance to use before.I regularly met deadlines, and had to adopt a top class customer service attitude.

Summer placement within the I&RP team at RBS. Carried out a variety of tasks including creating & hosting webinars, as well as working in a team that answered a task and then presented our findings to our respective line managers. I was then offered a place on the 2017 graduate scheme.

I worked in a bar for just under a year, developing customer service skills.
