I am an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. Started doing mostly spine in 1986 after visiting a friend in San Antonio, TX. Pedicle screw fixation was starting and I learned that technique from Dr. Art Steffee, who I think was the great innovator of spine surgery in the United States. The learning experience has been tremendous. Became 100% spine in 2001. Developing a spine center that will open October 1, 2009. It will have spine surgeons, pain mgmt physician, a chiropractic doctor, psychologist, massage therapy and a physical therapy unit. It will be one stop shopping for spine care.
