Staff Conductor/Program Development Associate

So thrilled to be a staff conductor and program development associate at Mid-America Productions! They hosted me in Carnegie Hall in June of last year, and the experience was unforgettable for me and for many of the singers who performed that night. Going through experiences like this can transform a person. Because I was not an undergraduate music major, I have always felt some amount of imposter syndrome among professional musicians. Performing with world-class musicians in one of the most beautiful venues in the world is a dream come true. I had sung here with my teacher conducting, many years ago. To appear here as a conductor helps me believe that I can make excellent music among colleagues, and I should feel accepted, and that I deserve to be successful, even to the standard of the world stage. Performing like this has helped me feel unstoppable. Now, I am thrilled to offer similar experiences to performers from around the world! I look forward to connecting with colleagues, former students, and professionals totally new to me to explore the possibilities!I would also share that after that concert, Mid-America Productions provided a cruise around the Statue of Liberty to my ensemble, and it was on that cruise that I received my husband's proposal! My musical career, my love, and my life all took enormous steps forward because of this opportunity. I am thankful, and I can't wait to hear more stories like mine!
