I'm a solutions-focused professional with over a decade of experience in management and leadership, currently studying a Bachelor of Education and Science at Flinders University; aiming to follow my passions within science and work with people in the future to provide a sustainable future for my daughter.To that end, I continue to diversify my skillsets and knowledge, and my diverse experience across workplaces and industries helps provide insight that lets me come up with innovative solutions to problems, such as within placement with APA group; wherein it was the analysis of Japanese research that allowed identification of robotics that could meet their needs.I personally believe that management is akin to teaching, and respect is the foundation of effective leadership. My philosophy of management or training is philosophically about removing barriers to participation, and helping individuals see the relevance or reality behind what they need to learn: be it a student learning that polarity helps distinguish between oily or aqueous substances; or an employee the relationship between flowrate and even sample distribution in coffee.One example of this was my educational placement in 2019 at Brighton Secondary School; wherein I taught the pythagorean theorem to my students using an integrated history model of WWI. This involved explicit teaching of the concept, but first coaching that we have real-life situations that require it first; and culminated in a multi-station final 'quiz' that involved students solving abstracted real-world scenarios with the theorem and usage of the class-given ipads to transport them to each scenario via AR; whilst some volunteers dressed up in-theme proctored each station. It is a focus on practical, relevant training that I believe to be a key component of educational success, and that having and taking the opportunity to apply this new knowledge fosters success in students or employees of any age.However, the reality of my parenting situation and personal needs begets a requirement for employment outside of the classroom, and I am looking to apply my skillset in a field that will help me meet her needs and provide a future for us both.
