Currently working as a fitter and welder in Quinlan Engineering I felt it necessary for me to try get myself a trade based job after getting my degree as I felt I would benefit as being thought in college you do not get a feel for how a product gets put together. This real world experience has helped me think in a different way than the cookie cutter model we are forced into through college, especially in a design perspective. Have previously worked in Tayto Park on the rollercoaster, its a fun and busy environment, full of interaction with adults and kids.I have worked in the Arc café and bar during the Summer of 2013. I started as a bar back, stocking the fridges, changing kegs and insuring that there was adequate stock it the right areas. I later was moved to the kitchen as a prep chef and here I learned how to work under pressure and to multi-task. I also had the opportunity to do BBQs outside and for events where I gained experience in dealing with customers. I have been trained as a barman. This is another area where I get to meet people and interact with clients. I also have the responsibility of dealing with the customers money and the quality of their purchase. I have worked in TGI Fridays as a SA which i love as we get to show off out personality and have fun yet still work in an efficient environment. I have also previous experience working in a metal fabrication factory. I have done work experience in a metal fabrication factory over the past few Summers. I just graduated from mechanical engineering in the Dublin Institute of Technology with an upper merit.
