Company sold substantially all of its assets to Nextel, Inc. in 2002 and continued to operate under a plan of liquidation. Responsibilities and accomplishments include the following:o As part of executive management team, successfully completed the sale of substantially all of the company’s assets to Nextel, Inc. for $130 million.o Conceptualized and instituted a new financial reporting process that significantly reduced the number of days to close the company’s accounting records.o Refined and improved the company’s annual budget process and review of fiscal results.o Improved SEC reporting process and successfully managed the change to liquidation based accounting after the sale of assets to Nextel, Inc.

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a $60 million technology based, start-up service company focused on growth and industry consolidation. Responsibilities and accomplishments include the following:o Secured company’s initial bank credit facility of $20 million.o Closed four acquisitions, including one internationally, totaling approximately $80 million in annualized revenue.o As part of acquisition team, directed and/or assisted with the signing of definitive purchase agreements for nine acquisitions (seven domestic and two international) totaling approximately $140 million in revenue.o Primary contact with investment banking firm (Merrill Lynch) for initial public offering and attempt at industry consolidation. o Direct responsibility for maintenance of bank relationships.

Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for publicly-held $300 million, multi-property developer and operator of gaming and entertainment facilities. Responsibilities and accomplishments include the following:o Managed timely filings and reporting of 10Q, 10K and proxy statement with SEC and NASDAQ. Regularly responded to inquiries from analysts and investors. Fully participated in successful $150 million public debt offering.o As chief accounting officer, completed reorganization of the corporate accounting, payroll and finance functions significantly improving procedures for reporting all financial matters.o Developed cash management system that significantly improved controls over operating funds and improved investment returns.o Implemented new 401(k) retirement plan for parent and subsidiaries (4000 employees) increasing participation and total assets by more than 50%.o Reviewed corporate structure and, working with outside accountants and attorneys, began implementation of new structure significantly reducing franchise and state income taxes.o Conducted administrative oversight for budget preparation and review, federal and state tax reporting, employee benefit and stock option plans and direct responsibility for maintenance of bank relationships.o Oversaw retail sales of casino gift shops for multiple properties.
