As Chief of Operations, I managed the Facility Management Service (EMS) Journeyman and maintenance staff, for all types of trades represented in FMS, These included, Electricians, Masons, Carpenters, HVAC, Plumbing/pipefitting, Painters, Geo Thermal, Incinerator operators, Vehicle operators and grounds staff. I was responsible for the preparation of all "Scope of work" requirements for all FMS equipment, grounds and service contracts. I performed as the Subject Matter Expert for said contracts, and supervised all contracts for equipment, grounds, laundry, pest control and housekeeping. I also managed the Medical Center's Preventative Maintenance and work order program, including data entry, assigning work to appropriate shops and inspecting outcomes for all work accomplished by housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and grounds. I supervised 20 individuals as their first line supervisor and another 37 as the Second line approving official. I managed a budget of approximately $1,500,000.00 annually for these various services, and was responsible for hiring, training, directing, and any type of administrative action required by the individuals under my direct or indirect control.

Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center

This was a centralized position, appointed by Central Office in Washington DC. My mission was to develope policy, programs and all directives for a hospital housekeeping program. I Supervised the management team for EMS, which consisted of 3 housekeeping aid supervisors and one laundry plant manager. I was the indirect supervisor and approving official for these four supervisors and 37 housekeeping aids and laundry workers. I managed a $2,000,000.00 annual budget for this program, selecting equipment, materials and supplies appropriate for maintaining a housekeeping program.
