I have more than 16 years of consultancy experience having been involved in a wide range of water engineering, environmental and planning projects in the UK and overseas. My recent experiences include multi-disciplinary management for the delivery of flood alleviation schemes for private developers, government defence contractors and Lead Local Flood Authorities, comprising option identification, option appraisal assessment, feasibility studies and development through to a detailed design and submission for planning permission. In addition I have also managed projects assisting Lead Local Flood Authorities discharge their duties under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.I have held supervisory, technical and managerial duties for Local Flood Risk Management Strategies and several Strategic Flood Risk Assessments for Local Authorities in England. My abilities have also been used on a wider range of water related projects including Water Resources Evaluation, Environmental Impact Assessment, Catchment Management and Modelling and Hydraulic Modelling.My experiences range from providing due diligence type assessments of flood risk to larger technical assessments for both fluvial and tidal locations for private developers and Local Planning Authorities. I have been involved studies of large systems (river basins) to determine environmental and ecological impacts from developments and water resource demands.My technical experience includes hydrology, hydrogeology, hydraulic modelling and contaminated land including, surface water and groundwater interactions. I am adept at utilising these skills across the water environment business to provide clients with pragmatic, sustainable and value for money solutions assisting them to achieve challenging programmes and manage risks across their portfolios.
