-Responsible for the day to day operations for Charter and Special Train Operations team at the Consolidated National Operations Center.-Acts as the main conduit for approving, developing and ensuring the operational feasibility of all special trains.-Communicates all problems to our internal/external customers and informs them of the resolution plan to recover quickly from these events.-Ensures that appropriate resources are rallied expeditiously in response to customer service or other operating incidents.-Develops standards, guidelines and contacts to handle all special train/private car service issues as well as ensures that this is done in a consistent manner.-Serves as the primary point of contact for all special train related issues and seeks resolution of such closely with the CNOC Duty Officer and Amtrak field management and personnel.-Prepares reports and collects data that monitors Amtrak’s progress in handling special trains/private cars and the costs associated with these.-Develops and maintains a turnover log that lists specific items to track. Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for compliance review and reporting on the functionality and effectiveness of facility, equipment and component processes and products provided by various entities including Amtrak maintenance facilities, service contractors, and external component suppliers. This position represents a composite role of Quality Assurance Assessment Officer performing extended facility, in-plant rolling stock equipment; Supplier Quality Enforcement Officer performing supplier component inspections for both internal and external suppliers; and Rolling Stock Field Engineer providing technical field engineering support for rolling stock maintenance. In addition, this position will be required to establish a Material Review Board for critical parts inspections and defective warranty items disposition and processing. This position will also be needed to work closely with external component suppliers as required and with the HSR Rolling Stock Engineering group.•Performs extended facility, in-plant rolling stock equipment and supplier component inspections for both internal and external suppliers against regulatory compliance and quality standards and makes recommendations for improvement to both the existing standards and the methodologies and processes employed to achieve adherence to those standards.
