• Prepare materials for Question Period, speaking notes, and recommendations for use in the House of Commons, and Committees • Write, collect material, and prepare householders, direct mail, op-ed pieces, media material, news releases, speeches, articles and correspondence in coordination with colleagues in the constituency office• Liaise with whip’s office, House leader’s office, LRB, PMO, and various House departments• Assist in coordinating and supporting the member’s parliamentary goals, strategy and analysis • Assist member in drafting and preparation of bills • Act as media liaison for the Member, including organising press conference and other media events in Ottawa• Collectively with constituency office co-ordinate issues and outreach opportunities and events relating the to the Member’s work in the riding (including visibility and constituent feedback) specifically and in direct contact with the BC Caucus• Collectively with constituency office monitor events in riding and advise the Member on issues concerning the riding • In conjunction with the Member, responsible for social Medias (Website, Facebook, Twitter and others)• Research, maintain files, monitor the media and brief Member on critic areas and riding-related matters, priorities and issues• Draft newsletters and correspondence replies as required • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with key individuals and organizations in the community working on similar issues• Accompany member at parliamentary functions • General administrative duties• Other duties as assigned
