The UNDP Resident Representative (RR) is the accredited senior UNDP official in the programme country who represents, leads, and is accountable for, harnessing and directing the full potential of UNDP’s global capabilities, and those of its associated funds and programmes, in support of national development strategies and collaborative partnerships.The RR positions UNDP as a strategic partner for sustainable development, with the capabilities to partner at scale and deliver world-class knowledge and technical expertise. The RR assumes overall responsibility for the programmatic, operational, partnership, advocacy and communication activities of UNDP. The RR is responsible for ensuring that the UNDP programme and services are consistent with the national development priorities of the host country government, and supportive of the UN’s development efforts in the country. The RR ensures consistency with the UNDP Strategic Plan and with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The RR exercises accountability for UNDP’s policy, programme, partnerships and operational services, and the overall activities of UNDP.The RR is accredited by letter of the UNDP Administrator to the Head of State or Government.

The Country Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of UNDP Country Office and assumes overall responsibility for the UNDP programme and operations to ensure coherence and strategic direction of UNDP activities. The Country Director has delegated financial authority, including project approval authority, as well as management and internal controls responsibilities.

The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) is a World Bank & IADB funded public company investing in social development.• Last led the Department which was responsible for planning, communications, community participation, and organisational strengthening. Managed a team of 10 persons in addition to a number of consultants, including our external PR consultants and our project consultants.• Managed the unit that screened and appraised social projects (water, schools, rural roads, sanitation, etc) valued at over US$15 million. Over 90% of recommended projects were approved by the Board. • As Head of Planning I developed strategic plans and prepared organisational performance reports for the Board, donors and Government. Was part of the team that designed the performance management systems for the organisation.
